I code in LUA using the Psych Engine Lua API. I can code on versions 1.0, 0.7.3, and 0.6.3 of Psych Engine, but I prefer working on the latest version of the engine, as there's no reason to use an outdated build, and the new one has so much more useful stuff for coding in it!

"Don't let me distract you from having fun with everyone."
"You don't need to worry about what I think. After all, you wrote this for someone else, didn't you?"

Sayori is one of, if not my favorite character of all time. I love her so much and I can relate to her almost everytime, and she helps me analyze things better.I never really knew which Doki was my favorite and I kept switching since I learned about the game in between all four of them, until one day, I was watching a video on YouTube which was a submod of bbpanzu's hearters FNF mod (lmao), and when looking at Sayori begin to cry while singing and idling, I realized how much I actually loved the character.

It's called "Like Spinning Plates" and it'd be an understatement than saying that I have never related to a character more than Sayori in that Parallel. From her reaction to what others are telling her, all the way to all of her deepest and darkest thoughts, it felt like me. It felt like what I would do or think, and what I sometimes do or think.

To this day, I still find it surreal just how much emotion I felt during it and just how much I understood her all the way. It made me realize just how close I was to her, not only on the emotional side, but also how similar we are to eachother, and knowing that fact helps me a lot in taking care of myself. I love her but don't love me, funily enough, and sadly, the same would probably be true the other way around too, so whenever possible, I'm trying to imagine her and it helps.

Lastly, spinning plates if often a performance act. That could also mean that the name implies just how much Sayori hides beneath her smile for others not to worry about her, because she hates when others worry about her. She doesn't want to bother anyone with her problems, and would rather let them do stuff they enjoy, as proven by the quote that I put at the top of this page.

Not too long after, I decided to play a DDLC mod named "Exit Music ; Redux". I loved this mod so much. The mod is about the MC x Natsuki ship, but you get to have some scenes with other characters as well, and in my opinion, Sayori is the most well written character in EM;R by far.Upon completing the mod, you gain access to Bonus content: two Alternates, which are alternate endings or events occuring, and four Parallels, which is the same story but told from another character's point of view. The second Parallel is Sayori's point of view on when she went back to the club for the first time after being back from the hospital.

I mean, I am capable of understanding her whole reasoning behind all of her actions in the original game and in EM;R, and I could justify and explain every single one, because I would have done or thought of doing the same thing.

The title "Like Spinning Plates" perfectly fits Sayori and her situation in the mod.The act of "spinning plates" can also mean to have to handle multiple tasks all at once or handle multiple responsibilities, which could be a way of talking about Sayori struggling to manage multiple aspects of her life without letting anything fall apart.

Spinning plates are in a constant state of motion and require continuous attention to prevent them from falling. This could also symbolize how delicate Sayori's relationships are at that moment in the story, as she explains to Yuri in the scene at the parc.

This is why I love Sayori so much. I can relate to her more than anyone ever, and she helps me get through tough times. She's so sweet and I think she deserves the world, and I want her to be okay. Thank you for reading all of this, it really means a lot to me.

The Minus Omori AU is an alternate universe version of Omori created by Nick, and based on Friday Night Funkin' Minus, where the character's designs are based on their FNF icons (created by IagoAnims). The Minus characters's designs were therefore based on their icons seen in Vs. Omori.
